Debris Filters
Clogging, fouling and contamination of cooling towers and air coolers causes many challenges for heat exchange surfaces and cooling performance. Foreign materials both organic and inorganic are naturally drawn inside air inlets either blocking fin coils or providing a food source for bacteria. Restricting airflow reduces cooling efficiency, whilst high levels of bacteria in a wet system can lead to concerns over legionella. Cleaning your internal cooling equipment should be part of maintenance routines, but airborne debris can often be difficult, time consuming and expensive to remove.
Common Types of Debris
- Airbourne seeds
- Insects and bugs
- Leaves and pine needles
- Paper and litter
Debris Challenges
- Clogging of internal components
- Airflow restriction
- High levels of bacteria
- Reduction in cooling efficiency
- Costly cleaning and maintenance
Debris Filter Screen Benefits
- Stops airborne contamination
- Prevents fouling of internal heat exchange components
- Reduced bacteria populations
- Improved airflow and cooling performance
- Reduced maintenance costs
