Export Manager – Southern Europe

Job Purpose

To be commercially responsible for the profitable growth of the Southern region of Europe for the Agri business sector of Galebreaker in line with our Board’s ambitious expansion plans. To monitor and analyse the Agri market opportunities and competitor activity and to be part of a team responsible for product portfolio development.

To spend 30-50% of time in your region delivering sales strategies and tactics to new and existing Galebreaker Distributors to profitably grow market share. To review routes to market in line with profit and turnover targets. To have an active role in developing and actioning growth plans and reporting progress of agreed strategic objectives directly to the MD.

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. MARKET PENETRATION (Existing Agri markets)
  • Commercially responsible to profitably grow the Galebreaker brand in your region
  • To building strong relationships with our Distributors / Agents and Dealers
  • To set, monitor and measure territory targets with Distributors / Agents / Dealers in line with growth targets
  • To develop training & webinar opportunities for market support
  • To spend 30% time in the field reviewing and delivering sales strategies and tactics
  • To identify key market opportunities
  • Reviewing competitor activity and developing sales tactics to gain market share over competitors
  • To review product line by product line route to market in territories
  • Develop 3-year growth plan with detailed road map
  • Identify and build relationships with market & product line influencers in your region.
  1. MARKET DEVELOPMENT (New Agri Markets)
  • To review new Agri market opportunities for the Galebreaker brand with our existing product portfolio
  • To identify and build strong relationships with new Distributor / Dealer / Agent opportunities within your region.
  • To develop training & webinar opportunities for market support
  • To spend 20% time in the field reviewing and delivering sales strategies and tactics
  • Develop 3-year growth plan with detailed road map to move up into market penetration
  1. GALEBREAKER COMMERCIAL
  • To review new opportunities for our existing product portfolio in other commercial markets
  • To establish new Distributors / Agents / Dealers in under the Galebreaker Commercial umbrella
  • To work with MD to develop 3-year growth plan for Galebreaker Commercial within your region
  1. GENERAL MANAGEMENT
  • To develop marketing plans with market support department
  • To lead the price strategies for your region.
  • To be part of product line development team with in Galebreaker.
  • To report to Managing Director quarterly on new opportunities and progress of agreed objectives
  • Develop a regional budget and monitor and control expenses within your region.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION NEEDED

  • A sound agricultural knowledge
  • Key account management experience within Agriculture
  • Experience of building and growing distributor / dealer / agent networks
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent by experience in business, sales and marketing,
  • Minimum of 5-years’ experience at a management level.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation of strategic decisions.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills – French is an advantage
  • Key account management skills
  • Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills: business cases, margin and cash flow analysis.
  • Strong commercial skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate technical documentation.
